The Story, in short :

Passionate music-lovers, Simon and Melanie have been going forward in the music world of Agen, for the last ten years. Originally a bass player, Simon started his musical apprenticeship while playing in a Rock band. He met Melanie, a young singer, in 1997, who after a brief stint in the world of song, has decided to widen her horizons. Together for several years now, they have taken part in miscellaneous musical groups mixing rock and funky sounds with other more jazzy effects.

In 2007, after a two year break, Simon and Melanie decided to explore and have another go at the standards of the French song, and have taken up a real challenge : to set up a piano and vocal repertoire and to promote this repertoire beyond our frontiers !

The existence of the “French Trip Duo” today, is the result of a soft alliance of a refined musical style which goes back in time and plunges us into our French musical heritage. The aim of the French Trip Duo is to go out and meet lovers of French musical culture in France and abroad…

And in the summer of 2008, this is the way the “French Trip Duo” will set out on the English roads in order to present its repertoire to the local population ! Thanks to the setting up of this website, you will be able to follow the adventures of the “French Trip Duo”…
